Where wood initiates the energy, fire adds the spark necessary for the energy to fully express itself. They bring ideas to the peak of physical manifestation. The fire element uses enthusiasm and focus to move wood’s adaptability and courage forward. Fire elements are mainly extroverts and outgoing, happy people. They are enthusiastic and passionate about projects and bring the energy needed to complete them. Fire types bring light, laughter and joy to the world for the other elements to connect. Their passion, warmth and compassion makes them sensitive, intuitive and vulnerable. Their heart becomes a giant magnet which is what makes them great manifestors.
FIRE TYPES CHALLENGES
Fire types are more reactive to situations, and this leads to the common negative emotion of anxiety, which fire types are prone to when they don’t have the proper outlet for their passion. Anxiety is the energy that has nowhere to go, and when filled with passion excess energy can result in explosive anger. Getting enough physical exercise helps them channel their energy since they are prone to restless nights if they do not redirect it somewhere.
TOO MUCH YIN ENERGY
Fire is yang by nature so not enough of yang and too much yin can cause fire types to lose their spark and passion. This will make them unproductive, antsy, and unsatisfied with life. If they are lacking energy, the wood energy can influence in feeding their spark since wood feeds fire. This can be anything from planting seeds, caring for plants, going to a bookstore and reading about their interests or spending time in spaces with a wood dominant element. Spending time with others is also helpful although if they experience too much fire, solitude helps them recalibrate.
TOO MUCH YANG ENERGY
Fire types when exuding too much yang usually don’t know when to stop until they burn out. They have strong heart centers and so they tend to be easily overstimulated, because they are so sensitive to other people’s energy. Their compassion makes them people pleasers which is something they need to be mindful of to avoid depleting their own energy. Nature walks are a great way to find their balance again if they feel depleted. For more on the elements, we suggest reading Decorating with the Five Elements of Feng Shui by Tisha Morris.
